Cuisinart PowerEdge Blender Review, CBT-1000

Cuisinart CBT-1000 PowerEdge 1000-Watt Die-Cast Blender with 64-Ounce Jar

The Cuisinart PowerEdge blender is powered with a 1000-watt motor that provides a really good performance for a countertop blender. It is built with a heavy die-cast metal base and a lightweight, sixty four ounce BPA Tritan co-polymer blender jar with easy-to-read measuring labels even when the jar has ingredients inside, it is still easy to read the measurements when adding more liquid, etc. The material used in the jar makes it less prone to breaking easily and chipping. The jar is also designed with a comfort-grip handle, fitting lid, and a drip-free spout.

extract from customer review:-

“All I have to say is WOW! I love this blender. When I make a smoothie I just put in all of the ingredients, push the smoothie button & walk away. The blender is self programmed to do the rest & beeps when it has completed it’s blending cycle.”

The Cuisinart PowerEdge Blender has a very stylish design with a sturdy die cast metal base for stability and durability and which will definitely make a mark in your kitchen.  The size of the blender, being under 15” tall means that it will sit neatly on your countertop. I like the fact that it has not got too many controls, the motor is two speed and it comes with a pre-programmed system for smoothies and crushing ice and it also has a pulse function which makes it very versatile. Its user friendly control panel includes a count-up time which sounds an alarm by the time it reaches a four minute blending time, this adds up to its safety and power saving features. Its backlit buttons are easy to use in low light.

extract from customer review:-

“Having a family of 7 means that I don’t have time to waste making smoothies then cleaning out and making MORE smoothies and cleaning out and making MORE smoothies. So the pitcher size is great! Right now one batch can cover the entire family”

Customer feedback is really good, of the feedback on Amazon for the Cuisinart PowerEdge blender, the average customer rating was 4.5 out of 5 stars. I only read two slightly negative comments the first one was that one person was disappointed that they could not get it to blend frozen strawberries but I think they must have had it on the wrong setting as all the other reviews state that it deals with frozen fruit and ice cubes brilliantly. The second one was that although the customer was delighted overall with the blender she found the last cupful a little difficult to remove from the blender jar. Care is needed when pouring not to try to pour too fast. The jar is dishwasher safe so cleaning it will not cause that much of a hassle.

“When it comes to its container capacity, the lightweight material makes it much easier to lift and pour when full than if it was made of glass. Care is needed when pouring not to try to pour too fast. The jar is dishwasher safe so cleaning it will not cause that much of a hassle.”

Conclusion
Overall, I would definitely rate the Cuisinart PowerEdge Blender as one of the best smoothie maker blenders I have come across. Cuisinart is a US-based company with universally recognized name, endorsed by culinary connoisseurs such as Jacques Pépin and Hubert Keller and is the company that introduced the food processor to the US way back in 1973. For a health-conscious family who wants to have a really reliable, easy to use machine that will make blended drinks and smoothies in a sufficient quantity for the whole family if required, this model is ideal. I would have to place it in my top five blenders currently on the market.
