This Oster 4093 Classic Beehive Blender (also referred to as the Osterizer!) has all the classic features of a standard blender. It comes with a forty ounce ribbed-and-tapered glass container which fits into a beehive shaped base. The base of the motor has slip-proof rubber feet to prevent the item from slipping on the counter top while in use. The container itself has a clear calibration in ounces and liters. It includes a detachable stainless-steel blade which makes it a lot easier for you to clean. The entire item stands sixteen inches high when fully assembled.
The Oster 4093 Classic Beehive Blender may be designed with a retro feel but it still has a modern touch in it. It gets great reviews online – on Amazon, it achieved an average four stars in 242 reviews, 125 reviewers gave it a maximum of five stars! It promises to perform all the cutting and grinding jobs you could ever want to get done in your kitchen quickly and easily – it can grind coffee beans and nuts without problems.
Unlike other blenders, you can add frozen ingredients, (which are perfect in making thick and creamy smoothies), easily into it and it grinds everything effortlessly. You do not have to worry about getting anything stuck in the blades or not crushing the ingredients properly.
Extract from customer review:
“I make a lot of fruit smoothies using frozen fruit — which can be pretty hard on blenders — but so far the Oster Classic has been up to the task. I highly recommend it!”
The control panel on the Osterizer only has two speed options, high and low. It also has a pulse function at both high and low speeds and the button can be held down for continuous pulse if required. It has a very simple design and yet it still meets the functionality of what a blender should be. The simplicity of its design should not fool you into thinking that you need more features or controls on your blender, this machine has great capabilities for making soups, purees, smoothies and even Margharitas.
Extract from customer review:-
“I use this blender 3-4 times a week, mostly for smoothies (always with ice and some kind of frozen fruit, often large strawberries) and I LOVE IT. It blends very smoothly – I never have to turn it on and then off and on again for it to blend everything in the jar, it does that in one blending cycle.”
For the price, this is a great blender with a lot going for it. The only possible downside I have found is that everything needs to be washed by hand as the parts are not dishwasher safe (although you can pretty much get the jar and blades clean after use by ‘blending’ a small amount of warm water and a few drops of dishwashing liquid – after that, it’s just a quick swish in the sink and leave on the drainer to dry before reassembly).

“I burned through 3 blenders in like a year and a half because I make a smoothie almost every morning for breakfast and I guess the other blenders just couldn’t handle it. One didn’t even last a month! Then I bought this Oster, which not only looks great, but also has lasted me almost 2 years now and is still going strong!”
The package includes a lid with two ounce measure cup, a manual and recipe booklet which has a great selection of recipes to get you started. The entire item is covered with one year warranty.
